In 2004, at the age of 44, I went to college. Prior to that, I’d taken some correspondence courses but nothing in an actual college structure. However, I talked my way in the Master’s program by giving them samples of all my work to that point. I had already written for Reader’s Digest, Chatelaine (a Canadian women’s magazine), a plethora of trade magazines and newspapers. I’d also written wining proposals for government funding of projects. So, in 2006, I walked across the stage to receive my first degree: Master of Arts in Applied Communication.

After two years, we packed our bags and set off to Saudi Arabia. This is where we had our first taste of large scale recruiting. I had the two months of summer to recruit, interview, and hire 26 female teachers who would come to a place where they were second class citizens. The resumes I saw were often atrocious.

Fast forward to 2017, back in North America, where we began Analytic Advantage Career Consulting. We started by doing hundreds of hours of research to make sure we knew exactly what recruiters wanted but also how the new automation algorithms worked. Within 18 months, we had completed over 1,000 resumes and our clients were successful. Recruiters loved them. We started our own database. That was successful.

Now, we are creating a repository of FRESH off the press active candidates from resume writers across the USA and Canada. We want recruiters to get the best! Plus, our goal is to help as many people as possible get the jobs they deserve.
